We have two accessible minibuses which are used for residents’ appointments and social trips. Several members of our staff have completed the minibus driver awareness scheme (MIDAS). Please note that, whilst we will do our best to accommodate shopping and social trips, medical appointments will always take priority.
Families may use our vehicles, when available, however a small donation is expected to maintain the fleet accordingly. Everyone who drives our minibuses must undergo MIDAS training. We can arrange for family drivers to take the MIDAS course. This is provided by Brentwood Community Transport (www.brentwoodct.co.uk) Drivers must be over 21 and have held a clean driving licence for over 2 years, preferably with D1 category. The cost of the 2 day course is currently £125. To find out more about MIDAS contact our Recruitment and Training Coordinator via email:
Transport bookings can be made via your unit clerk.
